The RioAlert project was conceived and developed by students in the third year of Tecpucs IT technical course, with the aim of helping residents who live around the Belém River - a daily presence in the students reality - to prevent flooding. The group guided the app through Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and absentable.
